After the war he completed his pre-med studies and enrolled at the University of Kansas City Dental School of Medicine. He graduated in 1952 with honors in the top 10 of his class.
After receiving his Doctor of Dental Science degree, the couple moved back to Stillwater to establish a Family Dental Practice. The couple worked together with their Family Dental Practice in Stillwater for 42 years.
