Alana Ilene Harting, 91, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, on October 30, 2024. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Arthur officiating. A short graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Alana was born on May 22, 1933 to Perry and Ethel Smith in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was one of 12 siblings whom she loved and adored very much. Alana attended Stillwater High school completing the 11th grade before joining Ralph Eugene Sadler in marriage on December 31, 1949. Of this marriage three daughters were born, Ruby Ilene Sadler Kerntke, Julia Elaine Sadler Arthur, and Gena Sadler Manning. She remained married to Ralph until his passing on February 13, 1996.
Over the course of her years Alana went on to earn her General Education Diploma and attended Meridian Technology Center receiving a certificate in Medical Transcription. Through her training she developed a passion for helping others and became an in-home health aid for the elderly. She also worked many years in the housekeeping department for Oklahoma State University Student Union before her retirement. Alana was a member of Crosspoint Church in Stillwater, and loved Jesus with all of her heart. She enjoyed visits to the public library and loved going to family gatherings. She was also involved in several groups including T.O.P.S and The Red Hat Society. After her husband's passing Alana was reunited with an old friend Leroy Eugene Harting whom she married on April 16, 1998 and remained married until his passing on June 23, 2008.

Alana was proceeded in death by both of parents; her first husband Ralph Eugene Sadler, second husband Leroy Eugene Harting; daughter, Ruby Ilene Sadler Kerntke; son-in-law Robert J. Kerntke; her granddaughter, Sherri Michelle Manning, and 11 siblings.

She will be missed by those who remain here on Earth including but not limited to her daughters, Julia Elaine Sadler Arthur and husband Tony of Perkins, and Gena Sadler Manning of Glencoe; 9 grandchildren, Ronetta Kerntke, Roberta Douglas and husband Bart, Robert Kerntke II and wife Sadina, all of Stillwater, Tonya Wolf and husband Larry of Beggs, Justin Arthur and wife Chelsea of Perkins, Julia Brady and husband Aaron of Cushing, Minda Arthur-Odell and husband Justin of Perkins, Alicia Manning of Stillwater, and Troy Manning II of Glencoe; 19 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren and a large extended family.
