Alfred Eugene Thompson was born January 14, 1944 to Monroe and Ruth (Lawrence) Thompson. He passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. The family will host a "come-and-go" visitation from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.


Alfred attended and graduated from Helena Public School where he was active in football and agriculture. Alfred worked in various agriculture related jobs then began his career as a firefighter at Vance AFB. After retirement, he moved to Stillwater to be closer to family.


Alfred is survived by his children Kelly, Barry and wife Lisa, all of Stillwater and Chris and partner April of Oklahoma City. "Papa" is also survived by his grandchildren Reece, Chance, Heston, Holden, Brennan, and Anna Thompson, all of Stillwater and Henley Thompson of Oklahoma City.
