Obituary

Andrew Niles Rice Sr., of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at the age of 35. Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Roam Chief Event Center in Pawnee. Interment will follow in the North Cemetery.

Andrew was born March 20, 1990. He is the son of the late Lisa Rice and Charles George. Andrew was raised in Pawnee, Oklahoma and was the oldest brother of 11 siblings. Andrew was a proud member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma and a descendant of the Pawnee Nation, Otoe-Missouria and Sac & Fox Tribes of Oklahoma.

Although Andrew had his struggles, he never gave up trying to better himself. He was a fighter. He fought every day to be a better version of himself and never gave up. He always persevered the best way he knew how. Andrew found happiness and a lifelong love, in Carman Rice. He adored his wife Carman & they were happily married on July 23rd, 2025 in Stillwater. He passed from this earth, a Hero, having protected Carman when the unthinkable happened, and saving her life.

His pride and joy were his children, son, Andrew Rice, Jr. and daughter, Amiyah Drapeau. All he wanted was Junior and Amiyah to know how much he loved them and that everything he did was for them. They had a special bond, and he loved them very much.

Andrew will be forever remembered by his infectious smile and his ornery personality. He loved to tease his family any chance he got. He was a big fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, which family always gave him a hard time about, but always in good fun. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and family. Andrew had a big heart, and he was dearly loved by those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Andrew is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Rice, grandpa Darrell Rice & Great-Grandfather Lynn Rice, as well as his Grandmother Berdina George (Smith) & Great-Grandmother Velma Smith. As well as his good friend and sister, Vanessa Henry.
