Billy Gene "Bill" German, age 88, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away September 26, 2025. The viewing will be at 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Strode Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will begin 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doctor Jonathan Drummond officiating. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Bill was born February 15, 1937 to Isadore Sylvester and Annie Imogene (Bushnell) German in Glencoe, Oklahoma. He grew up in the area and attended C.E. Donart High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he was a proud member of the football team and a state championship wrestler.

On January 25, 1957, Bill married the love of his life, Loraine (Cera) German, in San Bernardino, California. Together, they built a loving home and shared a lifetime of memories.

A devoted member of the Mehan Union Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Bill was a man of strong faith and community spirit. He enjoyed golfing, playing darts, visiting the casino, and, most of all, spending time with his family.


Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Annie German; brothers, Bob German and Marion German.


He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Loraine German; sister, Judy German; daughter, Vickie and husband Frank Jones; son, Bill German Jr and wife Robyn; grandchildren, Shad German, Janaya and husband Josh Blair, Candace German, Jerrica and husband Ben Eddy, Cody and wife Miriam German; 10 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dani Vargas with Judith Karman Hospice, the staff at Perry Green Valley, and the 3rd floor nursing staff at Stillwater Medical Center for their compassionate care and support.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
