Carol Lynn Gross Shuler passed away peacefully in Stillwater, Oklahoma on March 13th, 2025, at the age of 67, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Her story began in the heart of Oklahoma, where she was born and raised in the vibrant city of Stillwater. She graduated from C.E. Donart (Stillwater) High School in 1975. Growing up amidst the welcoming community of Stillwater, she developed a deep appreciation for the area's natural beauty and the warmth of its people. Her formative years in Stillwater shaped her into the caring and kind individual she became.
Driven by a passion for healthcare, Carol pursued higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in radiologic science. This academic foundation paved the way for a fulfilling career in medical imaging. She dedicated many years to her work as a mammographer, demonstrating both skill and compassion in her service to others. Her commitment to excellence also led her to share her expertise as a radiology instructor, where she nurtured that next generation of healthcare professionals.
Beyond her professional life, Carol's creative spirit shone brightly. She found joy and relaxation in crafting, meticulously creating beautiful jewelry, and exploring various artistic outlets. Additionally, she had a love for the outdoors and found peace and rejuvenation while hiking. She and her husband enjoyed many hours spent on hiking trails.
Those who knew Carol will remember her for her caring and kind nature. She had a gift for making others feel valued and supported. Her presence was a source of comfort, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her life was one of service, creativity, and love.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Fred P. Gross and Barbara J. Bragg. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Shuler; her son, Jeff Bays, and his wife Mackenzie; Her daughter Amy Kaiser, and her Husband Derrick; her step-son Adam Shuler; her step-daughter Angela Kramer, and her husband Kevin; her step-daughter Audrey Shuler; her sister, Janet Cooper; and her 11 cherished grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her
A memorial service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on 2:00 p.m. on March 17th, 2025, at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A public visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m. March 16th, 2025 at Strode Funeral Home. May the memories of her kindness and the love she shared bring comfort and peace to all who morn her passing.
