Carol Frances Farmer Swanson, age 78, formerly of Stillwater, Oklahoma was born in Helena, Montana on October 24, 1945 to Darrell Oris Farmer and Martha Eleanor Farmer. She passed from this earth on May 19, 2024 in Collier Hospice Center, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The graveside funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Crescent Cemetery in Crescent, Oklahoma with the grave dedication delivered by Steve Dieker.

Carol grew up in Helena, Montana. At the age of 10 she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, but having that condition never stopped her from participating in any activities. She always found a way to participate in activities even with her health limitations. She graduated from Helena High School 1963, then attended Brigham Young University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in 1969. She was a Speech Pathologist.

Carol was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While attending a singles church event she met Michael Swanson. They married May 26, 1978 in Billings, Montana and were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple May 26, 1979. The couple had 4 children. They moved to Stillwater in 1981. Her beloved husband passed in 1994. She was strong and persevered in everything she did. In 2018 she moved from Stillwater to live with her daughter and her family in Colorado. She loved spending time with her children and their families. She loved hearing about any event in their lives. Until she was no longer able to walk she enjoyed shopping and watching her grandchildren play sports. She loved with her whole heart and will be missed.

Carol is predeceased by her husband Michael A. Swanson; her mother Martha E. Farmer; her father Darrell O. Farmer; and her in-laws Harold R. and Ada Francis Swanson.

She is survived by her 4 children and their families: her daughter Megan Savage and husband Russell Savage, and Ryland, Trenton, and Bryant Savage of Commerce City, Colorado; her daughter Cara Felton and husband Colter, and Easton Low, Savanna, Carter, and Presli Felton of Glenrock, Wyoming; her sons Eldon R. Swanson of Commerce City, Colorado and Garrett U. Swanson and wife Ana Marie Caya Swanson of Vail, Colorado; her 2 siblings and their families: her brother Richard Farmer and family of American Fork, Utah; and her sister Cynthia Gilbert.
