Carolyn June Gray, born June 10, 1935 went peacefully into her Savior's arms on May 1, 2025, at the age of 89. A visitation will be 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025 at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6500 S. Perkins Road. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

A devoted Christian, Carolyn dedicated her life to faith, family, and service. She taught Sunday school, sang joyfully in the church choir, and instilled the Christian values of devotion and grace in her children.

Carolyn married Harold (Bud) Gray on October 1, 1956. They were together for 57 years until his passing in 2013. She was a proud Air Force wife, supporting her husband through his 20 year military career with strength and grace. After his retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Stillwater where Carolyn pursued a fulfilling career in Animal Science at Oklahoma State University, retiring in September,1994.

Carolyn found joy in life's simple pleasures, at her happiest, bringing family and friends together during holidays and personal celebrations. She was an avid gardener, a caretaker to all creatures great and small, and loved nothing more than running into and chatting with friends while shopping. Her warmth, kind heart, and cheerful spirit brought joy to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold, and her great-granddaughter, Melanie Lila June.

She is survived by her brother, Merrill Gates; her two children, Sheri Karasek and Kevin Gray; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Madeleine, Katherine, Madison and Jacob; nine great-grandchildren Grayson, Kennedy, Ainsley, Axel, Finley, Elliott, Jameson, Jackson and Henry; as well as one great-great-grandchild, Evelyn on the way.

Carolyn's life was a testament to faith, love, and joyful living. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
