Stillwater resident Charles Ray Rich, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his home.

The family will bury his cremains at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Charles was born December 7, 1944 in Flintstone, Georgia to Jessie Rich and Virtie (Bilbrey) Rich. After high school he served in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division earning his Parachutist Badge and Marksman Badge. He married Sarah Mae (Boles) on May 5, 1976. Charles worked for Adams Security for many years before retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings, children: Robie Bryant, Frankie Nelson, and Jackie Nelson.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Rich of the home, 6 children: Anna Rose Bryant, Patricia Teters and husband Duane, Gloria Duggan and husband Ron, Rodney Bryant, Rachael Bryant, and Charlie Nelson, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends,
