Clyde Franklin Adams, 90, died November 14, 2024. A viewing will be 1:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. Sunday, November, 17, 2024 at Strode Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2024 in Fairlawn Cemetery with the Reverend Russell Hughes officiating. A celebration of Clyde's life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Westhaven Nursing Home. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Clyde was born on October 7, 1934, in Fairfax, Oklahoma to Louis Adams and Bessie (Towery). He worked at Ford Motors for many years. He served in the Army National Guard. He maintained gardens at Roxy Webber, Westhaven Nursing Home and loved growing tomatoes. He claimed the secret ingredient for the best tomatoes was Bone Meal. He hung the Flag at Roxy Webber Apartments for 20 years with his dog, Max.
Clyde is preceded in death by both parents and thirteen siblings, Bennie, Minnie a.k.a Modean, Bobby, Betty, Lewis, Dorothy, Lucille, Clifford, Janice, Louise, Charles, Johnny, and Mary Adams. He was child number five, and was Cherokee Indian.
He is survived by dozens of nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Clyde was every one's favorite uncle, he enjoyed passing out coins to all the children. He enjoyed Karaoke, singing and dancing. You could see Clyde a mile away dressed in his orange cowboy hat and OSU shirt with a big smile on his face.
