Cody Wayne Washington, 35, a Native American Cowboy and lifelong resident of Perkins, Oklahoma was called home August 14, 2023. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Bha Kha Je Chena Building in Perkins. Burial will follow in the Iowa Tribal Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Cody was born February 18, 1988 to Curtis and Tracy Washington in Ada. He graduated from Perkins-Tryon High School in 2007. On January 7, 2019, he married Brandi, a CNA at Stillwater Medical.


Cody was a devoted father. He enjoyed being around his children, bull riding, horse riding, bow hunting, and working at home on the ranch with his dad and brother. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew and loved him.


Cody is survived by his dad, Curtis Washington; his wife, Brandi Washington; his brothers, Lyle Washington and Devin Wakolee; his sisters, Baylee and Kaylee Washington; and his children, Brodey, Cali, Ella, and Callan.
