DaRan Lavar Johnson, age 43, of Stillwater, died Thursday, April 6, 2023.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m., April 14, 2023 at Solid Rock Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma with burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

DaRan was born to Clarice Adams in Pontiac, Michigan on January 5, 1980. He attended the University of Michigan and received a Bachelors in Behavioral Science. He married Darian on January 17, 2015. Together, they had one child, Winston DaRan Johnson.

He loved preaching and studying the transformative word of God and watching the power that it has to change lives. Along with his wife and son, DaRan loved watching, attending and playing football and basketball. He loved to bowl and accepted the challenge of anyone who was willing to compete. Despite the miles apart, he loved staying connected to his family with daily communication full of jokes and laughter.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bishop CJ Johnson; his grandmother; mother Lillian Johnson; cousin, Sean Smith; uncles Charles Johnson Jr. and Bishop Walter E. Bogan.

Members of his family include his wife Darian Johnson; son Winston Johnson; mother Clarice Adams; siblings Damion Johnson, Jerome Adams, De'Angelo Adams and Joel Adams; nephew Kingston Adams; four aunts, one uncle, and a host of cousins.
