Debra Eileen Bradley, lovingly known as Debbie, 72, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away into her Lord’s hands on October 19, 2026, in Stillwater. Debbie was born on May 28, 1954, in Henderson, Kentucky, to Elmer James Bickell and Elsie Lee (Samples) Bickell.
Debbie dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse at Stillwater Medical Center, where she worked on the third floor. Nursing was more than a career for Debbie; it was a reflection of her caring heart and desire to help others. Through her work, she touched the lives of many patients and families, offering care and compassion when they needed it most.
On March 18, 2000, Debbie married Kent Bradley in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Together, they shared a life built on love, companionship, and family. Outside of her work, Debbie enjoyed many creative pursuits, including crafting, sewing, and interior design. She had a special appreciation for creating beautiful things and bringing her ideas to life. Above all, one of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. The moments she shared with them were precious to her, and they brought tremendous happiness to her life. Debbie will be remembered as a loving woman whose kindness, compassion, and dedication made a difference in the lives of those around her. Whether caring for patients, expressing her creativity, or spending treasured time with her family, she gave of herself in ways that will not be forgotten.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband: Kent Bradley, of the home; her three children from a previous marriage: Michael Thurman, II, and his wife, Tiffny, Jennifer Vicinus and her husband, Matt, and Kimberly Light and her husband, Andrew. her six grandchildren: Jaxson, Dylan, and Ethan Vicinus, and Gavin, Caden, and Addison Light; her sister: Rita Cavanaugh, and her husband, Gale; and her brother: Jimmy Bickell, and his wife, Jo Ann.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at Stillwater Medical Center for the care and compassion they provided to Debbie. A special thank-you is extended to their long-time friend and physician, Dr. Woody Jenkins, for his friendship, support, and care. Debbie leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service to others.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former patients, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Strode Funeral Home at 610 S. Duncan, Stillwater, OK 74074.
