Obituary

Deidre (Dee Dee) Jane Doll, 62, went to Heaven on June 5, 2024 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her loving family by her side. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Glencoe First Baptist Church with Brother Irvin Haken and Brother Larry Calvert officiating. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

Dee Dee was born December 1, 1961 to Norbert Gene and Katherine Alice (Wilkinson) Doll in Aurora, Illinois. She attended Glencoe Public Schools and graduated in 1980. Dee Dee was granted a scholarship to play basketball at Seminole Junior College in her freshman year. She enrolled in East Central Oklahoma State University in Ada her sophomore year. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in x-ray technology. In 1998 she graduated with a Master's degree from Oklahoma State University.


Dee Dee worked at the Pawnee Hospital, The Warren Clinic and then for Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma at the main office in Tulsa. Later she went to work at the Claremore Clinic for 26 years. She excelled at her job as an Xray Technician and was beloved by her co-workers and patients. She was a hard worker like her father. Dee Dee was an avid OU fan with a love for sports, especially basketball, football, and softball. Dee Dee loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a fun-loving one-of-a-kind personality and inspired everyone she was around.


Dee Dee was a member of the First Baptist Church for 55 years. She enjoyed operating the sound system for many years for her church.


Dee Dee was preceded in death by her mother, her uncles Clayton, William and Jim Wilkinson as well as, Kenneth, Wayne and Orville Doll, and Russell Brim; and her aunts Paula Wilkinson and June Doll.



Dee Dee is survived by her father, of Glencoe; brother Jim Doll of Stillwater; sister Audra Parmely and husband Micheal of Stillwater; aunts Linda Wilkinson Brim of Pawnee and Myra Doll of Tulsa; uncle Micheal Wilkinson of Pawnee; nieces Hiliary Shanks Jordan and husband Brian of Brewton, Alabama; Victoria Shanks of Tulsa; nephew John Shanks of Stillwater, great niece Josie Clark as well as numerous cousins.


In lieu of customary remembrances the family request donations be made in Dee Dee's name to the Glencoe First Baptist Church music ministry or to the Oklahoma Baptist Children's ministry.
