Diane Lynn Dearinger Brock, age 72, of Stillwater, died Monday, January 15, 2024. The family will host a Come -and-Go Memorial Reception from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the Fellowship Hall of the Stillwater First Presbyterian Church.


Diane was born October 16, 1951, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to John Edwin and Cecelia Lee (Marx) Dearinger. John and Cecelia moved Diane with her two brothers to Stillwater, ok in 1960 to open Dearinger Printing. She was nine and starting the third grade at Will Rogers Elementary.


Diane married her C.E. Donart high school (now known as Stillwater High School) sweetheart Kirby Leigh Brock, in Stillwater at The First Presbyterian Church on August 14,1971. Kirby the love of her life preceded her in death on June 9th, 2015. She is also predeceased by her parents.


Diane earned her BS degree in Education from Oklahoma State University. She began her teaching career as an Elementary teacher in Cushing Oklahoma. After a decade of teaching and serving the Cushing community she moved to Skyline Elementary in Stillwater Oklahoma. Diane taught at many grade levels for over forty years. Her students were her second love. Her third love was her many pets. Diane was known to have a soft heart for any stray dog and kitty that would show up at her back door.


She is survived by her older brother Tom Dearinger and wife Kathy, along with their children; her younger brother Rick Dearinger and wife Sue, along with their children; and her brother-in-law Jon Brock and wife Mary Ann and their children.
