Obituary

Dustin Taylor, 52, of Stillwater, passed away on October 10, 2024. Dustin was born on July 22, 1972, in McAlester, OK to Jerry Taylor and Linda Boucher. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation are in charge of the arrangements.

Dustin met his wife, Maria, in 2001 and they were married August 23, 2010. He had three children - Kylee Taylor, Emily Taylor, and Hunter Taylor.

Dustin will be remembered for his love of helping others - that was his main goal in life. He was always there to help with anything at any time. Dustin had a big heart and anyone that knew him knew he was giving, loyal, and strong-willed.

Dustin loved spending time with his family. Family was one of his greatest accomplishments. He loved big family events where he got to spend time with all the nieces and nephews. He loved fishing, hunting, and cooking. If you have ever been on a trip with Dustin, you knew he would be the first one to volunteer to cook one of his great meals.

He worked at Oklahoma Closing & Title with his sister and brother-in-law and if you walked through that front door and he had met you before, you were greeted by your name and a big smile. If you had not met him before, you knew him when you left.

Dustin was preceded in death by his dad, Jerry Taylor, and his brother, Lynn Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Maria Taylor, his children Kylee, Emily and Hunter, his mom Linda Boucher and step-dad Jack Boucher, his father-in-law Ronnie Paxton and his wife Ann Paxton, his sister Danita Witt and husband Larry Witt, sister Melissa Taylor, sister-in-law Angie Johnson, sister-in-law Vickie Wackerly, brother-in-law Sam Paxton, brother-in-law James Tubbs, brother-in-law Kenny Paxton and wife Tabetha and many nieces and nephews.

Dustin did not like being in the spotlight, so instead of a formal service, we are going to have a "Dusty style" come and go cookout just like he did so many times. Come by and share a story or just be together for a little while and remember him. It will be at Oklahoma Closing & Title, 614 S. West Street in Stillwater, on Monday October 21 from 12:00 - 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Dustin's honor to Kickin Childhood Hunger c/o Lynn Youngblood 3815 Fox Ledge Ct. Stillwater, OK 74074.
