Edward James Lockwood, age 64, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. Strode Funeral Home and cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Edward was born to Bennie and Rose Marie Lockwood on November 18, 1958 in Stillwater. He was a graduate of C.E. Donart High School, where he was a member of the football team.
After graduation, Edward was employed as a machinist at Mercury Marine for 15 years. Upon leaving there, he enjoyed traveling the states as a truck driver until his retirement.
On June 20, 1981, Edward married Darla Givens and from that union came three daughters, Terri, Jamie, and Robyn. They later divorced in 1995.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Rose Lockwood and his brother Ricky Lockwood.
Survivors include his stepmother Beverly Lockwood of Stillwater; daughters Terri Gilcrease of Arlington TX, Jamie Szuch and husband Eric of Goose Creek SC, and Robyn Lockwood of Arlington TX; his brother Harry Griné of CA; sister Liz Johnson of OK; grandchildren Trendon and Emma Gilcrease, Caden, Kamryn, Christian Howery, and Kendrick Moore; other family members and friends.
