Florene Tarver, 85, of Cushing, Oklahoma passed away on October 25, 2023 at her home with family by her side. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel, Stillwater with burial following at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Florene was born to Charles William Akins and Inda Mae McKinney on September 12, 1938 in Silver City, OK. She attended Oilton High School. She was a member of Good News Church-Perkins. Florene loved reading, gardening and working puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her Parents; husband, Tom Tarver; Son, Leland Salas; Sisters, Alyene Lucas, Maxine Coyner; and Brother, Charles Akins.

She is also survived by Son, Michael Replogle and wife Janet; Daughter, Cheresa Salas Eddington. Three grandchildren, Tiffany Baez, John Replogle, Tim Eddington and four great grandchildren. One Brother, Willie Akins and one Sister Delphine Rowell.
