George Pidge passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 81. A Navy Hard Hat Diver, George went on to serve the community for 31 years with the San Francisco Fire Department before retiring. Anyone who knew him would tell you he was truly one of the good guys.


George loved to travel and was an avid bicyclist and motorcyclist. A true renaissance man, he could build or fix just about anything. He took great joy in sharing his knowledge and teaching those around him, always generous with his time and skills.


He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lorna; their daughters, Lisa and Aileen; their grandchildren, Jacoby, Alani, Gigi, and Jones; as well as three siblings and several nieces and nephews. George will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
