Geraldine Louise Curtis (Fay), age 95, passed away at Stillwater Medical Center, Stillwater, Oklahoma on September 22,2026, following a short illness. She was a resident of Stillwater, Oklahoma. To friends and family, she was known as Jerry.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Dehlia (Florence) and Albert Fay.

She grew up in Corry, Pennsylvania and graduated from Corry Area High School in 1949. After graduation she worked as an Executive Secretary until stopping to raise her family.

She married James Carleton Curtis (deceased) on August 4,1951 and resided in Columbus, Pennsylvania. They were married for 74 years.

While raising her children she worked with her husband and his family on Elmview Dairy Farm and picked grapes in the summer months.

The family moved to Garland Texas in 1976 where she was employed for many years at Silverleaves Nursing Home and at Christian Care. She enjoyed working in the nursing home, viewing it as God’s calling for her life. She also assisted James in his work as a distributor for Pepperidge Farms and running a peach orchard in Montalba, Texas.

Jerry was a devoted Christian and attended church regularly. She was a choir member and taught Sunday School when living in Texas. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. After her health precluded her from attending church in person, she enjoyed and looked forward to visits from the congregation.

Throughout her life she was an active member of the Republican Party and during elections worked the polls in many positions. An avid baseball fan, she followed first the St. Louis Cardinals and in later life the Texas Rangers. When she and

James moved to Stillwater after retiring, she became a fan of Oklahoma State Baseball and attended as many games in person.

Jerry was preceded in death by her husband James in 2025.

She had 7 children and is survived by, John Curtis of Idaho Springs, CO; Jane Curtis, Stillwater; Janet Curtis Smeltzer (Timothy), Garland, TX; James Curtis (Lou Vic), Sunnyvale, TX; Jeffrey Curtis, Coral Springs, FL; Jennifer Curtis Hansen, Terlingua, TX. Jean Curtis Saporito (David) preceded her in death.

Jerry was called “Nina” by her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Jerry’s family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Woody Jenkins, the physicians, nurses and staff of at Stillwater Medical Center, especially the ICU and 5th floor staff for their excellent care, support and compassion that they provided during this difficult time. We are grateful to Brookdale Senior Living Retirement Home who provided excellent care for many months.

Jerry will lie in state at Strode Funeral Home, 610 S. Duncan Street, Stillwater, OK 74074.
