Gudrun M. Moore, age 83, of Morrison, Oklahoma passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Stillwater Medical Center. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Nathan Cragun will officiate the ceremony. Gudrun was born March 2, 1941 in Ludwigsburg, Germany to Gerhard and Clara (Ditter) Schmidt. On March 9, 1962, she married Bert A. Moore in Pattonville, Germany and although they divorced in 1985, they remained friends as they watched their family grow. Together they raised four children: Patricia, Pamela, Steven, and Denise.

She was confirmed in the Protestant Church in Ludwigsburg. Gudrun worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for years at various places in Stillwater. After 16 years of service, she retired from Stillwater Medical Center in 2006. Gudrun was a wonderful mother and friend who was always there when her loved one's needed her most. She offered her support, wisdom, sarcasm, wit, and never-ending love. Among other handy work, Gudrun was an amazing cook, baker, and sewer. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting too. Gudrun was a selfless, strong woman who endured and overcame many obstacles. She was a military wife throughout her entire marriage to Bert, moving where the next duty station sent them. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Gudrun is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Denise Waters; son Steven Moore; grandson Charlie Fleming; brother Gerhard Schmidt; and sister Gerda Medina.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Moore and husband Richard Condit; her grandchildren Abigail Condit and husband Bronc Scott, Aidan Waters, Samantha Fleming, and Matthew Fleming; and her great-grandchildren Paisley Scott, Bryar Scott.

The family has entrusted Strode Funeral Home and Cremation with arrangements.
