Obituary

Harold Wayne Guinn, age 88, of Morrison, died Friday, June 7, 2024 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Harold was born to Theo Lawerence and Tressie May (Webb) Guinn on August 17, 1935 in Danville, Arkansas. He attended Chester High School in Chester, Montana. He graduated in 1954. He married Frances D. Swor in 1955. This marriage ended in divorce on February 21, 1975. He then married Delores J. Eikenbary on September 17, 1977. They remained married until her death on February 23, 2024.

Harold was a diesel mechanic for 45 years. He was employed by Bemis Construction, a field mechanic for Caterpillar, and numerous other construction companies. He enjoyed reading Western books, garage sales, antiques, family gatherings, steam and car engine shows.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Delores Guinn; brother Jim Guinn; son Thomas Guinn; grandson Brent Guinn; stepson Weldon Eikenbary; and step grandson John Shay.

Members of his family include his brother Kenny and wife Joan Guinn of Iowa; sister Sue Mitchell of Arkansas; sons Timothy and wife Maryland Guinn of Claremore and Terry and wife Lori Guinn of Enid; daughter Shelly and husband Russel of Stillwater; daughter in law Cindy Guinn of Tuttle; stepdaughters Pamela Guenther and Chris Bone of Texas, and Terry Shay; stepson Dale Eikenbary of Stillwater; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. John's and Cleveland Hospitals, Southern Oaks and Green Country Care Centers for their care of our dad.
