Helen Marie "Ma" Carrier, 90, passed peacefully on, June 20, 2023 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater with burial following in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Helen was born November 8, 1932 to Harry "Pike" and Jessie "Sissie" (Listerman) Hamilton in Payne County. She attended Pleasant Valley School and graduated from Coyle High School. She married John "Bud" Carrier in 1951, and they spent 53 years together. She is a life member of Friends Chapel Church and the Progress Sunshine Club.

Helen's greatest accomplishment and joy was her family.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

She is survived by her children, Linda and husband Carl Clapp, Galen and wife Verna Carrier, Joyce Axton and David Carrier; her 9 grandchildren; her 17 great grandchildren; as well as 5 great-great grandchildren; and a very special long-time neighbor and very close friend, Dickie Rogers.
