Jacques "Jack" DeLee Kirkby, age 90, of Stillwater, passed from this life Friday, May 31, 2024 at Linwood Village in Cushing, Oklahoma. No services are scheduled at this time. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Jack was born May 3, 1934 to Joseph G. and Marguerite (Owen) Kirkby in Holland, New York. He was a 1952 graduate of Holland High School. He served 2 years in the Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma then married Sidney Merle Murray on November 29, 1958. Together they owned Jack Kirkby & Associates for 30+ years. Jack and Merle resided in the Dallas, Texas area for 61 years. They moved to Stillwater in 2023, to be closer to their daughter Kelly and her family. Jack was a member of the Stillwater Bible Church.


Jack was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Prosser and son Scott Kirkby.


Jack is survived by his wife, Merle; sister Marcia; daughter Kelly Jones; grandchildren Sarah Priest and her husband Robert Woods, Hayden Kirkby and his wife Katie, Mara Kirkby and Miles Kirkby and his wife Felicity; his great-grandchildren Hazel Priest and Eleanor Priest; and his Daughter-in-Law Beth Kirkby.
