In Loving Memory of James
James was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures and the people he loved most. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loyal family man whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him.
Whether he was gathered around the kitchen preparing a meal for family and friends, cheering on the Raiders, Forty-Niners, Green Bay Packers or simply spending time with those he cared about, James lived his life with a deep appreciation for the moments that mattered most. His love was not always spoken in words but shown through his actions through the meals he cooked, the support he gave, and the time he shared with the people he loved.
James had a way of making others feel welcome. He could bring people together around a table, over a game, or through a simple conversation. His sense of humor, his loyalty, and his love for his family will remain a lasting part of the memories he leaves behind.
Though our hearts are heavy with his loss, we are grateful for the years we shared, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in every family gathering, every home-cooked meal, every football season, and every story told about the good times we all shared.
James was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed.
A visitation for James will be held at 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma
