She was born on February 2, 1935, to Wallace and Marjorie Malone in Tulsa. After her father died when she was three, her mother Marjorie married Lawrence "Larry" Dellasega. This marriage blessed Jean Ann with four younger siblings, three sisters and one brother whom she loved and cherished very much. Jean Ann attended High School "College High" in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and graduated with the Class of 1953. She attended one year of college and then started working for Cities Service Oil Company where she met her future husband and love of her life Bob Dalton. Jean Ann and Bob were married on May 12, 1956. They were married for 66 years. They made their home in Bartlesville where their three children were born: John, Susan, and Barbara. The family had an exciting adventure when Bob's job with Cities Service was transferred to Thousand Oaks, California. The Dalton family enjoyed living in Thousand Oaks for about two years until Bob's job took them back to Oklahoma and the family settled in Tulsa.

Jean Ann and Bob enjoyed living in Tulsa for around 40 years. After they retired, Jean Ann and Bob enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Europe, Hawaii, and cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean. She also enjoyed traveling to visit her mother and siblings in Seattle, Washington.

Jean Ann and Bob relocated to Stillwater in 2012 to be closer to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who she enjoyed spending time with and loved very much. Jean Ann was a big OSU football and basketball fan. She held season tickets to football and basketball games and attended games for decades. She and Bob also attended out of state Bowl games.

She was a member of the Cedar Crest Country Club in Locust Grove, Oklahoma where she made dear friends and made wonderful memories with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed swimming, riding in the golf cart, playing games, taking walks, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. She was a wonderful seamstress and sewed clothes for herself and her children. She also made doll clothes and beautiful braided rugs. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching beautiful linens and clothing. She was talented in so many ways. She was an excellent cook and gardener with a special love for birds. Her church affiliations included Asbury Methodist Church in Tulsa and First United Methodist Church in Stillwater.

Jean Ann was always optimistic and looked to the brighter side of life. She was caring, kind, generous, and the true epitome of a lady. She will be greatly missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Bob Dalton, daughter Susan Stewart, brother Larry Dellasega, and brother-in-law Phil Linwick.

Survivors include her children, John Dalton, and Barbara Dalton; grandchildren Sarah Hall (Matt), Scarlet Gylland, Stacy Baker (Garrett) and Ryan Davis; great-grandchildren Aubrey Baker, Garrett Baker Jr., and Brent Baker; siblings Sally Linwick, Martha Gray (Gordon), and Mary Dellasega, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
