Obituary

Jeanette Elaine Johnson, age 82, of Stillwater, Oklahoma died on September 30, 2025 at Legacy Village surrounded by her family. Her celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeanette was born to Marvin and Ruby (Cory) Andree on May 5, 1943 in Graceville, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Graceville Congregational Church and graduated from Graceville High School in 1961. She then graduated from the Rice Memorial Nursing Program in Wilmar, MN in 1962. On March 24, 1963, Jeanette married Everett Johnson, the love of her life.

Jeanette's biggest passions in life were her family and nursing. Not only was she a loving and devoted wife, but she was also an amazing mother and grandmother. She blessed many with her sewing abilities, whether it be dress-up clothes for the grandchildren or quilting with the ladies at church. Jeanette's love language was food. At family gatherings, she would prepare food for days in advance. If you ever left hungry, it was not because she had not offered you extra helpings of meals and desserts - including any pie made with her famous crust. She also enjoyed traveling near and far for her grandchildren's events, from sports games and dance recitals to plays and concerts and horse shows. Nothing would keep her from being her grandkids' biggest cheerleader, so in more recent years when she was unable to travel, she learned how to tune into live streams so she could root for her favorite people. We will terribly miss Jeanette's infectious laugh, deep kindness, and hugs.

She touched the lives of many in her 55 years as a nurse in several different communities and states. The last chapter of her career was spent serving as a nurse with Dr Lauvetz, Sr. and Dr Lauvetz, Jr. at Stillwater Medical Center Urology, and her colleagues and patients were like family to her.

Jeanette was also a dedicated member at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater for more than 30 years, where she taught Sunday School, quilted, and was active in hospitality ministries.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Ruby Andree, sister Joan Krosh, brother-in-law Craig Krosh, sister-in-law Val Andree, nephews Kurt Krosh and Joe Vos, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Fern and Stanley Johnson, and grandson Trey Johnson.

Jeanette is survived by her husband Everett; her children Laurie (Ronnie) Morgan, Everett Jr. (Barb) Johnson, Chad (Donna) Johnson, Scott Herberg; grandchildren Lisa (Troy) Strickland, Mike Morgan, Chelsey (Ed) Batchelor, Roxie (Jacob) Hacker, Seth Johnson, Hunter Morgan, Lacey Johnson, Weston Johnson, great grandchildren Trent Strickland, Lane, Connor, and Lexi Morgan, Zoey, AJ, and Zya Hacker, siblings Karen (Warren) Broughton, Patty (Glen) Parsons, Mike (Sandee) Andree, sisters-in-law Betty (Jim) Boid, Linda (Chuck) Spiedel, nieces and nephews: Kim, Kerri, Jerry, Andreea & Matt, Nick, Eric & Gwen, Kelly & Tina, Mark & Melissa, Terry & Bill, Jennifer & Bill, Michael & Sara and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
