John Elmer Brown, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Born on July 30, 1940, John shared 55 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol, building a life filled with laughter and cherished memories.

A Vietnam veteran, John served his country with distinction, earning four Bronze Stars for his bravery and dedication. After his military service, he dedicated over 30 years to public service as the Assistant Attorney General for the State of Nebraska, upholding the law with unwavering integrity.

The youngest of six siblings, John was the rock of his family, always the one to care for and support those around him. As a father, he was steadfastly devoted to his two children, Jennifer and Dan, always willing to go to any lengths for their happiness and well-being.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.
