John 'Neal' Higgins, 68, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on June 12, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Neal was born December 4, 1956, to Doris and Earnest Higgins in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He attended CE Donart High School and married the love of his life, Vicki, in August of 1980. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
From 1999 until his retirement in 2021, Neal worked at Ditch Witch in Perry, Oklahoma, where he was a dedicated and hardworking employee. He was respected by his coworkers for his reliability, strong work ethic, and friendly spirit.
Neal had a lifelong love for target practice and firearms and enjoyed spending time outdoors and off-road vehicles. He also found great joy in riding bicycles, embracing both the thrill of adventure and the peace of a quiet ride. He was happiest when surrounded by nature and those he loved.
Known for his warm heart, easygoing nature, and sharp sense of humor, Neal was a man who made others feel welcome and valued. He had a gift for humor and a deep appreciation for the simple things in life. His presence brought calm, and his wisdom and humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Neal was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. He also had a special place in his heart for his grand dogs, who brought him endless smiles and companionship. Neal was a dedicated foster parent for Cimarron Valley Humane Society and took care of many dogs while they awaited their forever homes. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love. kindness, strength, and unconditional love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Earnest Higgins.
Neal is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughters Angie, Alicia, and Katie; his son, John Lee; and his granddaughter, Emma - all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
