John Jeffre Kent, 69, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on April 25, 2025 in Stillwater. He was born on September 29, 1955, in Sparta, Illinois. He was affectionately known by his family as Jeff and respectfully nicknamed "Hawk" during his time serving in the military.

John attended Sparta High School and was a member of the United States Air Force. John loved America and all that it stands for. He was honored to serve his country and took great pride in being a US veteran. His patriotism was evident to all that knew him.

John worked in construction for many years, and it was a fitting profession because he loved to fix things. There wasn't anything John couldn't repair, tweak or improve. He was fascinated with the latest gadgets - especially tech gadgets - and was always looking for a way to make them even better. John was a hard worker, music and movie lover, and epic storyteller. With an unwavering dedication to those he cared about, John made you know that you were loved and appreciated.

John's faith was a fundamental part of his character. John was preceded in death by his mother Shirley (Sally) Kent, father Curtis Kent, and brother Layne Kent. John loved his family dearly and was comforted knowing they would be together again. As we celebrate John's life, we are thankful for our time with him and consoled by his reunion with his heavenly family.
