John F. Kresach Jr., 99, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. A visitation will be held at Strode Funeral Home at 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 21 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

John was married to his beloved wife, Elizabeth Kresach, for 74 years. Elizabeth preceded him in death in 2024. John and Elizabeth initially made their home in Lansing, Illinois, where they raised their children. In 1980, they moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where they continued to make their home and became a part of the community.

John proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States military. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and later served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

John is survived by his children, Lynda Williamson and James Kresach; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Stillwater Medical Center for the care, compassion, and support they provided to John and his family during this time.
