John Howard Reid, age 76, of Stillwater, Oklahoma died on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will begin 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Eagle Heights Baptist Church, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

John was born October 12, 1949, in Denver, Colorado to Howard and Doris Reid. Throughout his growing up years, he helped his dad as a farmer, he graduated high school from George Washington High School, Denver, Colorado. And later, attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.

He was a member of the Roggen Telephone Coop, Roggen Wheat Growers Assn., and was the Fire Chief of the Roggen Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and preparing dinner just like Julia Child.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Doris Reid.

He was survived by his wife, LeAnn; daughters Heather Reid and Holly Reid. Sister Jan Reid and brother-in-law Bill Beuthel.

Hosts of friends and family will miss him dearly.
