Judy Jerlene Akins, 64, passed away due to health issues on September 26, 2024 surrounded by her family in Perkins, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Lincoln-Barrett Family Cemetery southeast of Perkins. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.


Judy was born on November 8, 1959 to Charles Jackson and Lula Ann Jackson in Friona, Texas. She attended England High School. Judy was a homemaker, caregiver and a believer in Jesus. She enjoyed arts, crafts and treasure hunting. She loved spending time with her family.


Judy is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents; father Charles Jackson; Aunt Patsy Whittenburg and other aunts and uncles.


She is survived by her mother, Lula Ann Jackson; son, Dustin Jackson; daughters, Megan and her husband Tyler Aubrey and Cheyenne Barrett and spouse Taz Krause; grandchildren, Victoria, Ricki, Blake, Kyndall, Lexi, Liam, Lorelei, and JayLynn; great-grandson, River; brother Jerry and his wife Donna; and sister Jackie; uncle Alfred and his wife Juanita.


Pallbearers will be Jerry Jackson, Tyler Aubrey, Zach Barrett, Darin Camren, Chris Camren, and Abraham Lincoln.


Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Aubrey and Taz Krause.
