Obituary

June Alice Pace was born June 24, 1926, to Stanley and Stella Lello in Milwaukee, Wisconsin who were both born in Poland. She passed peacefully from her long-lived life on May 5, 2026, at her daughter's home where she lived. A private family ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 to celebrate her life. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

June grew up in Milwaukee with her parents and seven siblings. There she met her future husband, James "Jim" Hill, who was stationed in the area during his military service. At the age of 19, June moved to Stillwater, where she and Jim were married in September 1945 and began their life together raising a family. June later worked at Oklahoma State University, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service.

June greeted everyone with a smile and a joyful spirit. She was quick to laugh, especially at herself and the funny Polish sayings she often shared. Outgoing and full of life, June never believed she was too old to enjoy the things she loved. She was an avid bowler and golfer, proudly achieving a hole-in-one, and was a longtime member of the women's league, where she formed many lifelong friendships. June also enjoyed playing cards, fishing, birdwatching, dancing, country music, old western movies, and her favorite soap operas.

June is preceded in death by both parents, seven siblings, husband's Jim and Bud, children Patty, Carol and Richard; as well as her grandchildren Alicia Mayfield and Jacob Moss.

She is survived by her children Twila Teter of Oklahoma City; Debbie and Jim Stark of Stillwater, and Jacque and Mack Butler of Stillwater. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren Greg Teter, Grant Teter, Rob Hill, Lori Battles, James McAlister, Shaun Moss, BJ Moss, Jeff Moss, Rikki Shroeder, Kerri Cunningham, Quinton Hill, Christy Bunney, Stephanie Christopher, Jennifer Collins, Corey Stark, Kyle Childers, Shelby Taylor and Jesse Butler. As well as her 26 great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.
