Karim Farajollahi passed away April 5, 2025. He was born February 24, 1936 to Baba Farajollahi and Khadijah Ahmadnejad in Shahsivar (now Tonekabon), Iran. In 1958 he came to the United States to attend college. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Industrial Arts in 1962 and a M.S. in Trade and Industrial Education in 1963. While at OSU he met Carolyn West. They married on May 28, 1961 and moved to Lawton in 1963, where he became a printing instructor at Lawton High School. In 1975 the family returned to Stillwater. He was one of the first instructors hired for the new Indian Meridian Vo-Tech, now Meridian Technology Center. By the time he retired in 1998 he was Assistant Superintendent.
Karim inspired love and respect from everyone he met. Coworkers, former students, and members of the community expressed their appreciation for him any time they met his family members. He was the patriarch of his extended family, with generations relying on him for advice and support. In his family, he was known for his work ethic, his love of babies and children, and his insistence on doing things the right way.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his daughter Tracy (Farajollahi) Boyington and her husband Jay Boyington, his daughter Wendy Farajollahi, his grandchildren Christopher Harms, Karli Luehring, and Alexandra Boyington, and his great-grandchildren Franklin and J.R. Harms. He is also survived by brothers Jamshid, Mansour, and Azim. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his daughter Shelly (Farajollahi) Luehring.
In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Stillwater Humane Society or the Meridian Technology Center Foundation.
