Obituary

Kathy Ann Rosa-Coe, 68, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. Born on January 14, 1957, in Fort Lee, Virginia, Kathy lived a life full of compassion, warmth, and quiet strength.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Kathy is survived by her loving children Christal Rosa, Ashlei Randolph, Jerame Rosa, and Austen Coe; her much appreciated son-in-law Brett Randolph; and her adored grandchildren Jackson, Collin, and Hudson Randolph.

Honoring her wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Instead, her family will host a Celebration of Life gathering, at a later date to remember her in the way she would have loved-with warmth, laughter, and stories shared among those she held dear.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue http://tinypawsok.org / or 901 S. Lowry St., Stillwater, OK 74074, an organization close to Kathy's heart.

As her children, we can only write a proper obituary for our mother from our own experience. We know who and what she loved. She loved her family. She always told us she loved us. She took the best care of us, often on her own, and we never wanted for anything. She was always our biggest cheerleader. Her grandchildren were absolutely adored and rightfully spoiled by her. She began and ended every visit with a tight hug. She loved her friends. She was loving and loyal, and always there when she was needed. She had a special place in her heart for her elderly friends and offered them compassion and comfort whenever she cared for them. She loved every dog, cat, and any other creature who found its way to her doorstep. She took them in, fed them, made sure they received care, and gave them a loving home. She probably fed a million kittens through her volunteer work at Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue. Many plants grew tall, and flowers bloomed in her gardens.

She taught us how to be the best part of ourselves. She taught us to be strong, to take care of others, to stand up for the oppressed, and most importantly how to be kind and loving to those around us. She was the true definition of a caregiver. She accepted us as we were, and her love was never conditional.

One of the things we loved most about her was her sense of humor. She always made us laugh; and, if you know our family, you know what a wicked sense of humor we can have. We found humor in the darkest of situations. It was how we coped. We laughed the most about ourselves and our family because it was uniquely us and there was no other place in the world where someone could tease you and it made you feel so so loved. I think that's what we will remember most about her. Her laughter. We loved to make her laugh. We loved to laugh with her.

We will all miss her every day and always remember the love and joy she brought into our lives. As beautifully expressed in the poem by E.E. Cummings, we will carry her heart. We will carry it in our hearts.
