Kay Enmeier, 85, died November 16, 2023 at PrimRose Retirement center in Stillwater.
A private ceremony for interment will be held for the family at the North IOOF Cemetery of Marshall. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral.
Kay was born August 30, 1938 to Wilbert and Fern Seefeldt in Enid, Oklahoma. She was raised in Marshall with her brother, Chauncey and sister, Judy. Kay attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University and married/divorced Bill Enmeier (deceased). Two sons were born and raised in Stillwater beginning in 1965. Troy married Martie Oyler and raised three children in Enid: Brock, Bates and Grace; Brett married Jennifer Lauvetz and raised two children in Stillwater: Mackenzie and Stetson.
While in college, she lived with Professor Angie Debo (Oklahoma Author of History of American Indian affairs) for one year and provided an interview for the Debo section of the OSU library. She was a primary school teacher and after moving to Stillwater she held secretarial jobs on the OSU campus, at the First Presbyterian Church, and then Jim Gunn Financial Services. She was very active in Epsilon Sigma Alpha International and was a cook on rotating weekends for the Presbyterian Church Meals for the needy.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
Her hobbies were gardening, quilting, bird watching with the local Audubon society, and travel with a group of adventurous friends including her best friend, Sandy Barth. She was active in the Cimarron Quilting Guild accepting various officer-ships, working on large quilting fundraising exhibitions and making lap blankets for Veterans.
She loved her family, friends, and giving to others. She will be missed.
