Kenneth Reed Davey was born December 31, 1949 in Norristown PA to Charles J. Davey and Edna Lois (Reed) Davey. He was the third of four children in the family. Ken graduated from Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, PA in 1967, then attended Oklahoma State University where he received the degrees of BS in Architecture and BS in Architectural Engineering in 1973. He married Mary Lembcke and moved to Rochester NY where he worked as an architect, structural engineer, and project manager for Kodak and other companies. For many years he was active in Construction Specifications Institute, serving on professional committees and as an officer. Ken was a licensed Professional Engineer and also a Professional Architect.
Ken was active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts while his daughter and three sons were growing up. He enjoyed golf, dancing, watching Oklahoma State University football and thoroughbred horses.
Several years after his retirement, he and Mary moved to Stillwater. Here, Ken continued his love of music and dancing by being the DJ for line dancing at the Stillwater Senior Activity Center.
Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary, and four children: Kristen (John Ray) Gillman, Garret (Erin) Davey, Mark Davey, and Jay (Amber) Davey, and five Davey grandchildren: Camryn, Colson, Emerson, Everly, and Noah.
Burial will be private. There will be no service. Those wishing to honor him may donate to the Humane Society of Stillwater.
