Obituary

Kenneth Ray Klutsenbaker, 93, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024 with his family by his side in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Strode Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Stillwater. Burial to follow at Glencoe IOOF cemetery. Lunch will be provided prior to the service at 12:00 in the First Baptist Church fellowship hall. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Kenneth was born near Ingalls, Oklahoma to Charles Franklin Klutsenbaker and Zella Baker Klutsenbaker. He attended Ripley High School. While there a cousin introduced him to Charlene Lazenby. He and Charlene married and made their home in Stillwater. They were married for 71 years and had two daughters, Sharon and Kendra. During those years Kenneth was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked for Roy T. Hoke Lumber Company for over 50 years, particularly in the store and work shop. He was always ready to help his family and his friends. There wasn't a problem that he couldn't help fix. He attended First Baptist Church of Stillwater and during his retirement, he and Charlene spent much of their time at grandchildren's activities. He stayed active taking care of his home and cheering on his OSU Cowboys. In his later years, he and Charlene moved to Golden Oaks Village where he enjoyed watching his geese and his birds and making friends with all the staff members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Delores Stokes and brother-in-law Fred Stokes, sisters Evelyn Beatty and Cheryl LaDuke and brother Frank Klutsenbaker. He is survived by his sister Joyce Barton and husband Jack, daughter Sharon Shouse and husband Clark Sr. of Morrison, daughter Kendra Oglesby and husband Randy of Oklahoma City, as well as his grandchildren Jennifer Bruns and husband Jeremy of Edmond, Clark Shouse Jr. and wife Jessi of Stillwater, Charles Shouse of Morrison, and Berry Shouse and wife Brandi of Morrison. He has 7 wonderful great grandchildren, Easton, Emersyn, Coleman, Kasen, Korbin, Sawyer, and Avaline and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at strodefh.com. The family wanted to express their thanks to Karman Legacy Hospice for excellent care in Kenneth's final days and to Golden Oaks Retirement Village and all its staff for their excellent care and friendship over the last seven years.
