Larry William Caldwell, age 75, of Stillwater, Oklahoma died Monday, July 15, 2024 at his home with family by his side. Funeral services will be Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in Oakley Cemetery in Taloga, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Larry was born October 22, 1949 to Walter Edwin "Cobb" and Leona Caldwell in Taloga, Oklahoma. He attended college in Weatherford, and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Mechanic and Agriculture Education degree. He was a member of the Payne County Sheep Association. He taught Vo-Ag for two years at Waurika, Oklahoma. Some of his hobbies were hunting, woodworking and mechanics. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed coaching for the Stillwater Parks and Recreation little league baseball, basketball, softball and soccer.

He married Daleene Kaye Abercrombie in Thomas, Oklahoma. From this marriage came two sons, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother Ronald Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife, Daleene; sons, Shane William Caldwell and wife Tiffany, Dorrin Robert Caldwell and wife Hazel; three grandchildren, Tyler and wife Faythe, Allana and husband Cole, Alyssa and husband Ethan; three great-grandchildren Killian, Isaac, and Arthur; sister Leta Marquez; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank the Stillwater Medical Personnel, Strode Funeral Home Personnel, family friend Dale Caldwell, who was always checking on Larry and was there when he needed him, the best friend anyone could ever have.
