George "Leon" Boyer, age 85, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with Tim Walker officiating. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

Leon was born on February 4, 1941, in Glencoe, Oklahoma, to George and Juanita Boyer. He attended Glencoe Public Schools and spent his life rooted in the values of hard work, family, and community.

On June 4, 1960, Leon married Sharon Kay Manning, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered on devotion to one another and their family.

Leon worked as a machine operator for National Standard, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Stillwater and enjoyed following OU college sports.

He had a lifelong passion for classic cars, especially Chevrolet models. Leon took great pride in restoring his 1955 Chevy.


Leon will be remembered for his love for family, and the simple joys that brought meaning to his life.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, George and Juanita Boyer.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Sharon Kay Boyer; Sister, Darlene & Jerry Wilson; Daughters, Lisa & David Baldwin, and Lana & Jeff Williams; Son, Greg & Lori Boyer; Grandchildren Jordan & Dennis Anderson, Caitlin Cundiff & Casey Weir, and Austin Boyer & Fiance Kaylee Grant; Great Grand Children, Bentley Anderson, and Declan Anderson.
