Annette Bloom

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, Lillian Annette Bloom, 81, went home to rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral Services are being held in the Chapel of Strodes Funeral Home on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Interment and graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Seth Mathis officiating. A viewing and visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Annie, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was born Lillian Annette Rainey to Lewis & Marjorie May Newton-Rainey on February 15, 1945, in Solano County Hospital, Vallejo, California. Annie came to Stillwater at the age of two and became the adopted daughter of George & Leona Bloom in May, 1951. She was raised and educated in Stillwater, graduating from C.E. Donart High with the class of 1964.

She worked at Skeens Cafeteria briefly before beginning her long-term employment with the City of Stillwater in the Customer Service Division of the Finance Department and retired from the Water Department after over 30 years of service. Annie loved country music, but she favored the old gospel hymns most. She was an outdoors kind of girl and enjoyed yard work with her dad opposed to household duties with her mom, they often snuck off to go fishing, which sometimes got them in trouble.

Travel took Annie and her parents on many cherished family vacations. She was a devoted daughter to her parents and took great care of them in their retirement years. She was loyal to her friends, loved everyone’s children because children were very special little people to her. Her dogs Muffin & Bella were her children that she spoiled to perfection she always said. Annie was a sweet, kind person, a heart of gold and always had a smile on her face, she had a deep faith, she loved Jesus and enjoyed going to church.

Annie was predeceased by her parents and survived by a special niece, Lori Hoffman & husband Robert & family, cousins and many friends that will miss her dearly.
