Lillian Louise Staggs McDaniel, 87, of Stillwater, OK passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024. Strode Funeral Home and cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Lillian was born on July 5, 1936 to Onis and Mary Sue Statton Staggs at their homestead in Pawnee, OK.
Lil spent most of her working years in manufacturing, retiring from Mercruiser after many years of service. After her retirement she moved to Arizona and found joy in being a kindergarten aide at a local charter school. She returned to Stillwater in 2003 to make lasting memories with her youngest granddaughter.

Known for her quick wit and her passion to share the gospel, Lil will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents Onis Staggs and Mary Sue Heagy, sister Eva Beyer and son Randy Patton. She is survived by her sister, Gerri Martin of Ohio. Her sister Patricia Byrd of Tonkawa. Her daughter Susan Patton of California. Her daughter Bevin and husband Jim Raiderman of Arizona. Her son Denny and wife Denise Strickland, and granddaughter Savannah Strickland of Stillwater. Her granddaughter Melanie and husband Ted Pearson and great granddaughter Samantha Pearson of Arizona.

The family would like to thank the staff at Stillwater Creek and Judith Karmen Hospice who cared for Lil until the very end.
