Lorren Hays Beavers, age 82, of Kingston, Oklahoma died Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Denison, Texas. Funeral services will begin 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Lorren was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on August 20, 1941 to William Henry and Edna Mae (Hensley) Beavers. He was married to Kathalene (Nix) Beavers on August 21, 1965.

He attended Yale High School and went on to Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor and Masters. Lorren received his Doctorate EdD at University of Oklahoma becoming a Professor of Accounting. His hobbies were boating, water skiing, and gardening.

Lorren was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Marjorie Friedemann and Eulonda (Stufflebeam) Moon.

He is survived by his wife, Kathalene; his son Bryan and wife Shelly; grandchildren, Braxton and Colton; as well as numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
