Marcelle Inez Ervin, age 90, of Carney, died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Marcelle was born to Albert Wesley and Rhea Lyleth (Nickelson) Sharp on August 25, 1933 in Tryon, Oklahoma. She is a graduate of Tryon Public Schools.

Marcelle married Lester R. Decker, which later ended in divorce. She married Robert Elee Ervin. The marriage ended with his death on July 10, 2004.

Marcelle was a dedicated housekeeper for Oklahoma State University for 19 years. She was also employed by Project Heart 4. Her interests included gardening, crocheting, fishing, and camping.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ervin, son Delbert Decker, Albert Leon Sharp, Melvin Wayne Sharp, and Kathy Ervin.

Members of her family include Debra Allen, Cheryl Sparkman, David Decker, Teresa Allen, twenty-three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
