Margaret Rowden, 80, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. A viewing for Margaret will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Strode Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating Margaret's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Strode Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John Lucas officiating. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Ron Rowden, Dakotah Knight, Wade Adams Jr., Destiny Knight, Jacob Beason, and Ryan Hughes. Strode Funeral Home & Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret was born on October 31, 1944, in Stillwater to Benjamin H. and Margaret Jane (Stanley) Rowden. She grew up and attended school in Stillwater. She was a woman of quiet strength and devotion. She worked for many years as a housekeeper and babysitter, caring for others with patience and kindness. Her warm spirit extended into every part of her life, from her faith to her favorite pastimes. She was a longtime member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Stillwater. Margaret enjoyed watching Christmas movies, crocheting gifts for loved ones, and creating artwork.

Margaret's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.


Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Ben Rowden, and Margaret Rowden; Brothers, William Rowden, Larry Rowden, Terry Rowden, Ben Rowden Jr., Chester Rowden, and Donald Rowden; Sisters, Leola Fay Rowden, Florence Rowden (Lucas), Kathryn Rowden (Swiger), and Charolette Rowden (Wells).


She is survived by her brother, Ron Rowden; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
