Margie was born June 23, 1928 in Skedee, Oklahoma to Edward J. and Grace Coyle. She lived and graduated high school in Pawnee. She attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU) and met Delbert Schwab from Kansas. They married August 14, 1948 in Pawnee, while living in Stillwater. Their growing family lived in Tennessee, Georgia and the Oklahoma panhandle, returning to Stillwater in 1963. She earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education and taught school at Highland Park Elementary School in Stillwater for many years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi service sorority and was quick to volunteer for many beneficial causes.

Margie also enjoyed bird-watching (Cardinals were her favorite) and was a voracious reader and coffee drinker.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, her husband and a daughter-in-law. She is survived by her three sons, Coyle (Sue) Schwab, George (Lynette - deceased) Schwab and Gary Schwab. She was grandmother to four and their families, including eight great-grandchildren.
