Mary Rachel (Bingham) Hemphill, age 82, of Tryon, Oklahoma, passed away passed away November 3, 2024 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Tryon Baptist Church. Burial to follow in the Tryon Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

Mary was born February 11, 1942 to Clarence Grady and Zelphia May (Palmer) Bingham in Tryon. She attended Tryon Schools. She married Oscar Hemphill on December 27, 1964. The marriage lasted until his death on February 13, 1989. Mary then joined life partner Eddie Tunnel until his death on July 28, 2018. Mary was a professional pie maker who enjoyed gardening.

Preceding Mary in death are her parents; husband Oscar Hemphill; life partner Eddie Tunnel; and sister Ruth Lutz passed June 2023.

Survivors are her brother, Thomas and wife Carol Bingham; nephew Charles and wife Gina Bingham; brother-in-law Bob Lutz; nephew Bobby McCandless; nieces Carrie and husband Bo Akins; great niece Stephanie and husband Justin Evens and their children Judah, Isreal; nephew James and wife Amanda Akins; great nephew Phillip and wife Lauren Akins, their children Wyatt and James; great niece Felicia Larson; Niece Leslie McCandless and partner Allen Duval, great niece Jessica Miller and partner Preston Sumlin and great niece DeAnna Burnett; nephew Norman Miller and numerous other relatives.
