Matthew Ryan
Hock
Dec 30, 1977 — Sep 5, 2026
Matthew Hock, 48, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Stillwater.
Matthew was born on December 30, 1977, in Temple, Texas, to John and Debbera Hock. He attended Stillwater High School, graduating with the Class of 1996.
Matthew was a master carpenter who had a true gift for working with his hands. He enjoyed creating, building, and bringing ideas to life. His creativity extended into his art, which was another special way he expressed himself.
More than anything, Matthew loved his family and friends. He treasured the time spent with the people closest to him and the laughter, memories, and moments they shared together.
Matthew was a proud Oklahoma State University sports fan and loved cheering on the Cowboys. He also enjoyed bowling, creating art, and working with his hands. Whether he was building something, working on his art, watching OSU sports, bowling, or simply spending time with those he loved, Matthew found happiness in the people and passions that meant the most to him.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Michelle Hock; their daughter, Taylor Hock; his son, Kristopher Hock, from his previous marriage to Katie Starling; his parents, John and Debbera Hock; his brother, Tim Abbey; along with many extended family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
Matthew will be remembered for his creativity and talent, his love for his family and friends, and the many memories he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he shared, the things he created, and the memories made with him will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
