Micheal Shirley Thompson, 80, died May 10, 2025. Micheal's memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel.

Micheal was born May 11, 1945 to Eddie and Virgie Kate in Dension, Texas.

Micheal was a jack of all trades; as a farmer, he raised cattle, and on occasion he raised hogs. He was certified in HVAC and plumbing and was a long haul truck driver for many years.

After retiring in the mid 2000's, Micheal focused on the farm, and building a new home that he planned with his wife, Billye Thompson.

Micheal loved to work on his farm. The tractors, fence line, taking down brush and feeding the cows. He enjoyed jokes and hiding beef jerky from his grandkids.

Micheal was a family man, he showed up. He was there at his son's birth and graduation. He was there as his father succumbed to Alzheimer's. He showed up for his grandkids when they lost everything and gave them all that he had.

Micheal is preceded in death by both parents, his wife, as well as his son Micheal G. Thompson, two brothers and his stepmother.

Micheal will live on through his granddaughters, Larana and Katherine, as well as his great grandkids, Brylee and Lorenzo.
